Oaklands Care Home provides safe and comfortable accommodation for
the older generations, taking care of the elderly, frail, physically disabled
and those who are, unfortunately, terminally ill.
Our Mission
Oaklands Care Home aims to provide a service for elderly and frail clients who may potentially need bed care, have mobility issues, bone injuries, require rehabilitation, have suffered from strokes strokes, diabetes, clients who require oxygen, have problems with dysphagia, NG feeding, PEG feed, Parkinsons, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia, Emphysema & terminal illness. We also provide End of Life Care and syringe drives for those who may require it.
Relatives and friends can relax with the peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones are well cared for and getting the support they need, with all the comforts of a home environment.
About the Home
Oaklands Care Home is registered as a "Care Home with Nursing" and is able to house up to 40 people. As our home takes both residential and nursing service users, we have 24 hour trained nurse cover. We currently have a varied selection of service users within our home. We also have staff trained in palliative care, and accept both male and female service users.
Our Care Philosophy
Oaklands aims to provide its service users with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well being and comfort are of prime importance.
All staff will strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all service users within a warm and caring atmosphere, and will be sensitive to ever changing needs. Such needs may be medical, therapeutic, for physical and/or mental welfare, cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social. Service users are encouraged to participate in the development of their individual Care Plans in which the involvement of family and friends may be appropriate and is greatly valued.
Our foremost objective is to provide our service users with the care and attention they require in order for them to live a happy, healthy and fulfilling life. In order to achieve this the management of the home - along with the knowledge and excellent attitude displayed by our staff - is paramount to our success. All staff within the home are always appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standards of care. A continuous staff training programme is implemented to ensure that these standards are always upheld.
